The North American Sled Operators Association — serving the tractor-pulling community since 1980.
On December 6, 1980, in Nashville, Tennessee, the first meeting of what would become NASOA was held. Twenty-four founding members were present, and the first board was elected: Daryl Ellenbaum, Shelly Swift, Dave Hager, Sam Simmons, and Susie Luedtke.
Four years later, the decision was made to formally incorporate as a non-profit association. On September 4, 1984, the North American Sled Operators Association (NASOA) was officially established by Sam Simmons, Dave Hager, Susie Luedtke, Tom Lashmett, Glen Bright, and Andrew Main.
Over four decades later, NASOA continues to serve the sled-pulling community across 26 U.S. states and Canadian provinces, maintaining a directory of certified operators and upholding the standards that keep events safe and the pulling tradition alive.
